Welcome to my World

Thank you for being here. I’m Ellie. An illustrator who spends my days chasing two kids, admiring 70s wallpaper, walking in the woods, sniffing books and laughing at my cat.

My illustrations are a celebration of colour and form, designed to lift people’s spirits whilst respecting our wonderful planet. All products are joyfully crafted, sustainably made and ethically sourced.

My mission is to put smiles on faces and connect people to nature, through joyful and sustainable design.

As well as right here, I sell my wares on Not On The High Street, at markets and through an ever-growing list of rather lovely stockists

Every year I donate a 1% of my turnover to environmental charities.

GOOD GREEN FUN (Eco since the 80s!)

It all started when I was 7 years old. I pestered my local MP for glass bottle recycling, and it worked! Since then, campaigning to celebrate and protect the natural world has been an integral part of my life.

Between 2009-2011, I designed and published a quarterly indie magazine called EggMag, encouraging ethical lifestyle choices. It was distributed in London and Brighton at Picturehouse Cinemas, Leon, Planet Organic and indie shops.

In 2019, I set up The Shift, sharing bite-sized tips for greener living. Have a gander HERE to discover easy changes you can make to support a more stable climate.

THE ARTY PART(Y)

I graduated with a fine art degree in painting and initially channelled my creativity into editorial design. But then one day, as I was making my son’s birthday card, I reconnected to the joy of illustration, and a spark was lit…

I set up my eponymous brand in 2017, selling sustainably made, 100% recycled cards with no plastic wrap. The collection rapidly expanded to include homewares and gifts and I’m excited to announce the addition of hankies and reusable gift wrap, coming soon!

ALWAYS SUSTAINABLE

I’m cThe Sustainable Creative Charter Pledge logoommitted to only making products that are useful and made to last. Single-use is not in my vocabulary. Raw materials are always recycled or made in a genuinely sustainable way and manufactured using environmentally conscious companies. Packaging is minimal, and always upcycled, recycled, recyclable or biodegradable; right down to the cotton or wool twine used for grouping cards. Which are always sold naked! oooOOOOooooh.

CHARITY DONATIONS

At the end of each financial year, I donate 1% of my turnover to five chosen charities:

  • The Soil Association
  • City to Sea
  • Just one Tree
  • The Woodland Trust
  • The Marine Conservation Society

I am always happy to show receipts (greenwashing is maddening!) So, if you would like to see them, please do get in touch and ask.

I am thrilled to announce that I am currently studying for a prestigious MA course in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.

Feel free to take a peek at my portfolio, commission me for artwork, or get in touch to collaborate on a project.
